About Recallify
Can Recallify AT be recommended through DSA?
Recallify AT software is approved by Student Finance England for recommendation through Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA). A needs assessor can recommend it where it meets an essential study need. SFE decides whether to fund it for each student. The approval covers software only. Guided AT training and the Personal subscription are outside this approval. See the student funding route.
How does Recallify use AI to support memory?
It transcribes, summarises, pulls out tasks and sets reminders. That turns unstructured information into steps you can act on and recall later.
Can an app help memory after a brain injury or stroke?
Yes. Recallify lets you capture conversations and notes, summarises them, and turns key points into reminders. Many people use it during neurorehabilitation to rebuild routines and reduce cognitive load.
Is Recallify suitable for mild cognitive impairment or brain fog?
Yes. It lets you offload information, refresh your memory with quick summaries, and get gentle prompts. Summaries and search also mean less re-reading and re-listening, which saves mental energy.
Can Recallify help with ADHD and executive dysfunction?
Yes. It turns voice and written notes into tasks with priorities, due dates and reminders, and breaks large, vague jobs into smaller steps. That supports getting started, planning and follow-through.
How is Recallify different from other ADHD or note-taking apps?
Most apps do one thing, like timers, habit tracking or to-do lists. Recallify combines voice recording, AI summaries, task extraction, reminders, quizzes and memory support in one place, so you're not switching between apps.
Is Recallify a revision app? Can it make quizzes from my notes?
Yes. Record lectures or upload notes and PDFs, and Recallify summarises them and generates spaced-repetition quizzes. Teachers can use it to help learners structure notes, generate quizzes and set task reminders.
What devices does Recallify work on?
iPhone, Android and any web browser, all on one account.
Privacy, data and your account
Does Recallify listen in on my conversations?
No. Recallify starts recording only when you press Record / Ask.
Are my recordings transferred or stored in the cloud?
Recallify sends your audio, video, or text content to the cloud for transcription and AI processing. Your file is processed there only temporarily and is not saved or stored online: it is deleted once processing is complete, so the lasting copy of your original recording stays on your device.
Are my memories stored securely?
Yes. Your transcriptions and related metadata are stored on secure cloud servers and are encrypted in transit and at rest. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
Can I access my recordings and transcriptions from multiple devices?
Your imported files (text, audio, or video) and captured voice recordings stay on the original device you used. However, you can access the resulting content, summaries, and AI-generated questions from multiple devices.
Can I share my recordings and memories with others?
Yes. There's a "Share" button at the top of every recorded memory. It lets you share the audio file along with the transcription and metadata (in .txt format) by email, messaging, or any other platform.
What happens to the recordings I delete?
We don't keep your original recordings; the lasting copy stays on your device. When you delete a recording, it's gone for good: deletion is permanent and we do not keep backups.
Do Recallify's AI service providers use my data to train their models?
No. None of our AI service providers use your content to train or improve their models.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account using the "Delete Account" button in Recallify's Settings. The app may ask you to re-authenticate to confirm if you haven't signed in recently. If you have any difficulty, contact us at info@recallify.ai and we can help.
Can I download my data if I stop using Recallify?
Yes. You can export individual recordings and transcriptions directly from the app at any time. If you would like a copy of all personal data associated with your account, request it at info@recallify.ai and we will provide it in a structured, commonly used format, in line with UK GDPR.
Does Recallify work offline?
Yes. Your recordings and notes are always available offline. Cloud access is only used when you request AI-powered features such as transcription, summary generation, task extraction, or quiz creation.
How does Recallify protect my data?
Recallify encrypts your data in transit and at rest, is registered with the ICO, holds Cyber Essentials certification, and handles your data in line with UK GDPR. No user data is ever used to train AI models, and your recordings and transcriptions stay under your control.
Does Recallify share my data with third parties?
We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising or marketing. The only third parties who process your content are the service providers that run Recallify's core features, such as transcription and AI processing, and they act for us under strict contracts and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
How can I request a refund?
It depends on where you subscribed. A subscription taken out on an iPhone, iPad or Android device is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play: the store takes payment and manages the subscription, so refund requests go to the store, as we cannot see your payment method or refund it ourselves. Request a refund from Apple (iPhone or iPad) or Google Play (Android). A subscription taken out on the web app is processed by Stripe on our behalf, so refund requests for those come to us: email info@recallify.ai from the address on your account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel any time through your device's subscription settings:
- On iPhone or iPad: Settings > Apple ID (your name) > Subscriptions > Recallify > Cancel.
- On Android: Google Play > Profile (top right) > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions > Recallify > Cancel.
- On the web app: your subscription is billed by Stripe. Cancel it from your account settings in the web app, or email info@recallify.ai and we will cancel it for you.
